  • You do not need a special card for public transport: you can pay with a bank card or phone at metro turnstiles and on buses. A single ticket costs €2.20 and is valid for 90 minutes; a monthly city pass is €39, or €22 if you are under 27.
  • Before you travel, ask the agency to confirm in writing what the apartment, test shoots and pocket money will cost – these are deducted from your fees.

How this list is made

Each agency is checked against public company registers, state licence requirements and professional-association member lists, then against its own website. Only agencies confirmed as operating are published. No agency pays to be listed and there are no rankings or reviews. Last verified: 2026-10-10.

The catalogue lists every professional agency with a live model board; model schools, sellers of paid books and hostess staffing firms are left out.

03When are the Milan fashion weeks?

According to the CNMI calendar, the men's fashion week (Milano Moda Uomo) runs in January and June, and the women's (Milano Moda Donna) in late February to early March and in September. The next dates are men's on 15–19 January and 18–22 June 2027, and women's on 23 February to 1 March and 21–27 September 2027.

Most are in four areas: the historic centre, the east of the city from Corso XXII Marzo to Città Studi and Loreto, the Tortona district near Porta Genova station, and the De Angeli–Monte Rosa and Washington neighbourhoods in the west. For men January and June matter most, for women February and September.

A Lithuanian model usually gets to Milan through a mother agency that sends digitals and measurements to Milan agencies. You can also apply directly, using the form or email address on the agency's own website.
