Where the agencies are in Kaunas
Most Kaunas agencies are in the centre: in the Old Town (Palangos and L. Zamenhofo streets) and near Parodos Hill on Parodos Street. The longest-running kids' and commercial modeling school and agency is in Dainava, on Kovo 11-osios Street. Some Vilnius kids' modeling schools also hold weekend classes in Kaunas. What sets Kaunas agencies apart
The Kaunas market is smaller than the capital's, so agencies here are more specialised. They fall into three groups:
- Kids and schools. Schools and agencies take everyone from babies to seniors, teach runway, acting and posing for photos, and put their students forward for advertising, catalogues and events. One of them has been running in Kaunas since 1994.
- Commercial work and events. Some agencies supply models not only for advertising but also for shows, trade fairs and presentations, alongside dancers and acrobats.
- New faces for abroad. A few Kaunas agencies work as scouting and mother agencies: they look for tall young women and men and place them with agencies abroad. One is the Lithuanian branch of a Czech scouting agency, active here since 2006.
School classes are paid. Taking them is your choice, not a condition for an agency to represent you or your child. Before signing up, ask what the fee covers and what jobs students have done in recent years. Which boards exist and what each looks for is explained in types of modeling.
Fashion events in Kaunas
The biggest fashion events in Kaunas are student-run shows for young designers. They give models runway experience and a chance to meet future designers and stylists.

Design Days reached its 28th edition in 2024, with collections shown by models selected by the judging panel. Kaunas also courts film and TV productions: the Kaunas Film Office offers crews locations and a tax incentive, which brings occasional filming work for commercial models and extras. Castings and getting to Vilnius
Most advertising and e-commerce shoots take place in Vilnius, so a Kaunas-based model travels to the capital often. LTG Link trains run between the cities, including non-stop expresses, as do intercity coaches. A model living in Kaunas can also be represented by a Vilnius agency, coming in once for the first meeting and later only for jobs, once a client has picked them.
Supermodels castings take place in Vilnius, at Pamėnkalnio g. 9. The agency holds open days without registration a few times a year, and between them you can apply online from any city. Dates and requirements are on the Supermodels open call page.

Shoots and getting around Kaunas
On city buses and trolleybuses you can validate a ticket with the Žiogas app or a Kaunas card, and since August 2025 you can also pay with a contactless bank card. For outdoor tests, Kaunas offers the Old Town, Laisvės alėja and its interwar modernist buildings, on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2023.
