Kids modeling agencies in Greece
There are 24 modeling agencies in Greece. Below: every agency with its boards and founding year, a comparison table, and what international models need to know. We do not vouch for agencies: each profile shows what we found about it, good and bad.
Greece has no licence for model agencies, no register of them and no trade association. So our catalogue lists every agency that represents models, but it does not vouch for them: each profile shows what we found, good and bad, including fees charged to applicants with their prices, payment terms, schools, company details, press reports and history. The catalogue has 24 agencies: 13 in Athens, 5 in Thessaloniki, 2 in Paleo Faliro and one each in Argyroupoli, Marousi, Nea Smyrni and Heraklion on Crete. Eighteen of them work in Athens and the neighbouring municipalities of Attica.

Greece for international models
- As an EU citizen you need no work or residence permit in Greece: for up to three months a valid ID card or passport is enough. If you only fly in for jobs and keep living in Lithuania, you do not need to register in Greece.
- If you stay longer than three months, you must go in person to the police office for aliens' matters where you live and get a registration certificate. You will need a copy of your ID and proof that you work under a contract or self-employed.
- For a Greek client or agency to pay you, you normally need a Greek tax number (ΑΦΜ) and, for insured work, a social security number (ΑΜΚΑ) as well. Before you travel, ask the agency which of them it will need.
- No law or association sets the commission in Greece. The one published example we found is 30% of gross income, in the terms of the Athens agency Matharikou Models. Have your commission, and the amount it is calculated on, written into your contract.
- Payment is slow: the agency pays the model only once the client has paid. New Model Agency says in its own terms that it pays no sooner than 6 months after the job, and on average 8 to 12 months for commercials, shoots and catwalk. Agree the payment term in writing.
- The Greece–Lithuania double tax treaty lets income from independent work be taxed only in Lithuania, unless you have a fixed base in Greece or stay more than 183 days. Our sources do not confirm how payers apply the treaty to a visiting model, so ask the agency and a tax adviser before your first job.

How this list is made
The list includes every agency that represents models. We check the facts on each agency's own website, in public company registers, on association member lists and in the press, and publish what we find: fees charged to applicants, schools, company status, press reports, history and memberships. We do not vouch for or recommend agencies. No agency pays to be listed and there are no rankings. Last checked: 2026-10-10.
01How many modeling agencies are there in Greece?
This catalogue lists 24 agencies in Greece, including Cristi Models, Matharikou Models, New Model Agency and Happy People Models. It includes every agency that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows the facts we found, good and bad.
02Do modeling agencies in Greece need a licence?
No. Greece has neither a licence nor a register for model agencies. The law only has a regime for private employment agencies (ΙΓΕΕ): they notify the Ministry of Labour and mediate for employment contracts. Models are not named in it, and none of the 144 offices on the Ministry's list of July 2026 is a model agency. So you have to judge an agency yourself: by its model board, its contract and its company details, which can be checked in the G.E.MI. register. Our catalogue lists every agency that represents models and does not vouch for them: each profile shows what we found about the agency.
03What commission do Greek model agencies take?
No law or association sets it: the commission is whatever the contract says. The Athens agency Matharikou Models states 30% of gross income in its terms. Bookers Model Agency in Marousi writes that it adds a 20% service charge plus VAT to the model's fee for the client. These are two examples, not a market rule, so read the percentage, and the amount it is calculated on, in your own contract.
04Can a Greek agency charge you upfront?
The employment-agency law forbids charging the person placed, but it is written for mediation in employment contracts, and whether it reaches model agencies has not been settled. In practice some agencies do charge: Matharikou Models starts cooperation with a non-refundable €90 fee for the presentation file, paid again when the contract is renewed, and Happy People Models sells workshops at €300 and €500 plus VAT. Others, such as Top Class International, write that they ask no money for registration. We show facts like these on the agency's profile so that you can compare.
05How much does a model earn in Greece?
There are no official figures, and we found no credible survey of day rates and no agency rate card. For 2026 the portal WageIndicator gives €705–1,442 gross a month for an employed model; this is a model-based estimate whose lower end is below the statutory minimum wage of €920, so treat it as a rough signal only. The agency commission, tax and contributions come off a fee, and you may wait 6 to 12 months for the money.
06From what age can you model in Greece?
Work under 15 is banned, but for advertising, fashion shows and modelling the Labour Inspectorate can grant a permit for children from the age of 3. The daily limit is 2 hours from 3 to 6, 3 hours from 6 to 11, 4 hours from 11 to 13 and 5 hours from 13 to 15, and never during school hours. The permit lasts at most three months. Fifteen-year-olds, and anyone still at school, may work up to 6 hours a day, and from 16 up to 8 hours; minors do not work between 22:00 and 6:00.
07Is there an association of model agencies in Greece?
We found no working association with a public member list. One agency, Bookers Model Agency, calls itself a member of the Greek Model Agencies Union (S.A.M.E.), but we found neither a website nor a member list of that union, so the catalogue shows no memberships. The only related body represents general employment agencies, not model agencies.
08What papers does a Lithuanian model need to work in Greece?
You need no work or residence permit; for up to three months an ID card or passport is enough. If you only fly in for jobs and live in Lithuania, you do not have to register in Greece. Staying longer than three months takes a registration certificate from the police. To be paid in Greece you will normally need a tax number (ΑΦΜ) and, for insured work, a social security number (ΑΜΚΑ).
09What tax does a non-resident model pay in Greece?
We cannot give you a fixed percentage. The law provides for 20% withholding on fees paid to individuals, and that is the figure one Athens agency states in its terms. The Greece–Lithuania treaty (Law 3356/2005) says income from independent work is taxed only in Lithuania unless you have a fixed base in Greece or stay more than 183 days. How payers apply the treaty to models is not confirmed, so before your first job ask the agency what it will withhold, and talk to a tax adviser.
10Is a model in Greece an employee or self-employed?
There is no special rule for models: the real relationship decides, not the way the pay is documented. In practice agencies pay occasional models on a so-called title of acquisition (τίτλος κτήσης), which is allowed while such income stays within €10,000 a year. Busier models register as freelancers under the activity code for photo model services.
11Where are most model agencies in Greece?
In Athens. Our catalogue lists 13 agencies in Athens itself and another 5 in neighbouring municipalities: 2 in Paleo Faliro and one each in Argyroupoli, Marousi and Nea Smyrni. Thessaloniki has 5 agencies and Heraklion on Crete has 1. We found no agencies representing models in other cities or on the islands.
