Modeling work in Tallinn
Tallinn is Estonia's capital and the centre of its modeling market: 18 of the 19 agencies in the country's catalogue work here. The oldest has been running since 1992, and the companies behind the newest were entered in the register in 2025. As in Vilnius, fashion agencies here develop new faces and send them to the major markets as mother agencies, and also work with local advertising and e-commerce. The catalogue lists every business that represents models and does not vouch for them: each profile shows what we found, good and bad, and where the press has reported on an agency, those reports are there too.
Licensing, law, tax, work by minors and permits are covered on the Estonia page, modeling agencies in Estonia. This page covers what is specific to Tallinn.
Agencies by type and board
- Fashion and mother agencies (11). E.M.A Model Management (since 1992), Beatrice MASS Modelnet (since 1997), MJ Models (since 2004), AL Model Management (since 2012), Tigers by Matt (since 2016), Agency Icon, Vector Management, Genom Management, RM Model Management, COLD Management and Monte Models.
- Talent and casting agencies (2). Nordic Face and VasVal Talent Agency.
- Schools with an agency (4). Staarikool, Star Kids Baltic, Tomson Top Model and JK Club Models.
- Promotion staff and models (1). Mur Mur Agentuur.
You can filter the catalogue by board: women (4 agencies), men (4), new faces (4), talent (3), kids (2), curve (1), senior (1) and commercial (1). Nine agencies have no board assigned, because their websites do not divide models into boards or they have no website. We found Monte Models, VasVal Talent Agency, JK Club Models and Tomson Top Model only on social media.
Two things are useful to know in advance. The Beatrice MASS Modelnet website is live, but the newest item in its events section is from December 2010. COLD Management is a new agency whose roster is only starting.
Where the agencies are in Tallinn
The map shows 10 of the 18 agencies, those whose address we have.
- City centre (Kesklinn). E.M.A Model Management (Tartu mnt 7), MJ Models (Narva mnt 5), AL Model Management and Tigers by Matt (both at Tatari 64), Staarikool (Roosikrantsi 11), Tomson Top Model (Vesivärava 50) and Beatrice MASS Modelnet in the Old Town (Sulevimägi 5).
- North Tallinn (Põhja-Tallinn). Agency Icon (Tööstuse 58) and Nordic Face (Soo 4/2).
- Further from the centre. Mur Mur Agentuur gives a legal address at Sõpruse pst 194.
We have no address for the other eight agencies, so they are not on the map: COLD Management, Genom Management, JK Club Models, Monte Models, RM Model Management, Star Kids Baltic, VasVal Talent Agency and Vector Management. You will learn the meeting place when you contact the agency. The central agencies are close to one another, so you can visit several in one day; AL Model Management writes that it sees people by appointment only.
Schools and fees in Tallinn
Four Tallinn agencies are model schools as well, and two of them state prices on their websites. A school is not representation: an agency commits to representing you only by contract. The prices we found in October 2026:
- Staarikool. The monthly fee is €75 for 4 classes, €115 for 8 or €150 for 12; a single class costs €25, a trial class €15 and a private lesson €55. Photo shoots cost €95 to €150, and a year's place in the model base is charged separately. The school writes that it admits everyone who wants to join, with no casting.
- Star Kids Baltic. Registration for the 2026 new faces photo casting for ages 4 to 19 costs €65. The group training programme costs €110 a month, and the fee falls with progress; the individual programme is €1,500 a month.
We found no price lists for Tomson Top Model or JK Club Models. COLD Management writes that it never charges models, and the application pages of the fashion agencies mention no fee. Exact amounts and sources are on the agencies' profiles.
Tallinn Fashion Week and the Golden Needle
Tallinn Fashion Week has been running since 2007 under Anu Kikas and is organised by the Estonian Fashion Design Association (Eesti Moedisaini Liit). It takes place twice a year: the autumn 2025 edition ran on 22–24 October, the spring 2026 edition on 9–10 April, and the autumn 2026 edition runs on 28–30 October at T1 Venue. Tallinn Fashion Day is a separate, smaller series of shows run by JK Club. The autumn line-up features Estonian designers, from established names to newcomers.
The autumn week includes the Kuldnõel (Golden Needle) gala, an award given since 1996 and presented by the Kaubamaja department store. The Hõbenõel (Silver Needle) goes to a designer who has made a strong mark over the past year. Dates for every fashion week are in the fashion calendar.
Tip. If you want to walk in the shows, ask your agency whether it works with a Tallinn agency. Bring fresh digitals to a casting, along with an address and time confirmed by the agency.
Press reports about agencies
The catalogue lists every agency, so here we also set out what the media have reported about them. These are reports, not findings by a court or an authority.
- Star Kids Baltic. Elu24 reported on 26 October 2018 that a model publicly accused the agency's founder of unfair competition and of taking money (paid pageant participation, contract penalties of 5,000 euro, an unpaid participation fee abroad) and ended her daughter's contract with the agency. The same article reports a lawsuit against the founder over the Missis Estonia trademark. These are accusations reported by the outlet, not a court finding.
The same fact, with a link to the source, is on the agency's profile. Before you apply, ask the agency itself what it says about this.
Getting there from Vilnius
- By train. LTG Link, Vivi and Elron sell a single Vilnius–Tallinn ticket with one change in Valga: you stay on the same LTG Link train through Riga to Valga, then step across to an Elron train on the same platform. It runs daily and a standard ticket costs €39.
- By air. airBaltic offers flights from Vilnius to Tallinn, the fastest option when a casting is in the morning.
- By bus. International coaches such as Lux Express run on the Vilnius–Riga–Tallinn route.
The trip is longer than to Riga, so it does not suit a day return: plan an overnight stay and several meetings per trip.
How to get started
Start with an agency in Lithuania that represents you and, when it makes sense, puts you forward to a partner in Tallinn. If you contact a Tallinn agency directly, first read on its profile what we found about fees, its school and the company's status. Rates and earnings are covered in our guide how much do models make. Estonia's one other catalogue agency is in Tartu. A closer market is Riga, and at home there is Vilnius.
