In short
- This list covers Lithuanian model agencies that work as mother agencies in 2026: they scout models, prepare them and place them with agencies in Paris, Milan, London, New York and Asia.
- Five agencies: Supermodels, Ruta Models, Baltic Model Management, Duo Management and Modilinos – all of them show their models, their partner agencies abroad and their contacts.
- A professional agency never charges you to apply or to be represented, works under a written contract, and signs with the parents when the model is under 18.
- To apply you need a few plain, unretouched pictures and accurate measurements: no expensive photo shoot is needed before the first meeting.
Lithuania has long been known in the modeling world as a country that sends new faces to agencies in the fashion capitals every year. Lithuanian models walk in Paris and Milan fashion weeks, front international campaigns and appear on the covers of Asian magazines. Almost every one of these careers starts in the same place: a local model agency that spots the model, prepares them and introduces them to partner agencies abroad.
Fifteen years ago Jurgita wrote that the number of model and talent agencies and beauty schools in Lithuania was growing every year, and with it the chance of choosing the wrong one. That still holds. What has changed is everything else: scouting has moved online, agencies abroad choose models from digitals and video, and several new agencies were founded by former models. So we rewrote this story from scratch and made a new list of five agencies that really work with the international market in 2026.
These are our top 5 model agencies in Lithuania for 2026. The list is not ranked by importance or size. Supermodels comes first, followed by the other agencies. Each has its own strengths, so it is worth reading about all of them and choosing the one whose direction fits your goals best. Full details, addresses and news for every agency are in the catalogue of model agencies in Lithuania.
How we chose the agencies
Lithuania has plenty of companies with "models" in their name: event agencies, children's arts studios, talent databases, courses. All of them can be useful, but an international modeling career needs something else. So this list includes only agencies that meet a few clear criteria.
- It works as a mother agency. The agency does not just book jobs in Lithuania but also represents the model with agencies abroad and takes care of travel, contracts and payments.
- It has real partners abroad. The agency says openly which international agencies it works with, and its models' work can be seen in fashion week shows and publications.
- It shows its models and their work. The website has model boards (women, men, new faces) and recent work.
- It has clear contacts. An address, an email, an application route: everything that lets you check who you are talking to.
- It does not charge for representation. A professional agency earns a commission on the model's jobs, not on registration or "starter packages".
We checked the facts about every agency on its own website in October 2026. Next to each agency you will find a picture of its website's front page, so you can recognise the real agency and not confuse it with a similar name.
Top 5 model agencies in Lithuania in 2026
Supermodels

Supermodels is a model agency founded in 2001. It is run by Jurgita Kiguolė and is a member of the international model agency association M.A.M.A. Its main office is in Vilnius, at Pamėnkalnio g. 9, and in Kaunas the agency sees pre-registered models at T. Masiulio g. 21B.
The agency works with women, men and new faces, and in 2020 it opened a separate board, Asmenybės, for plus-size models. Its regular partners abroad include NEXT, Wilhelmina, Elite, Women, Why Not Models, Silent, MiLK and other international agencies. Before a model leaves to work abroad, the agency helps with the paperwork, plans the trip and knows what a given market expects from a new face.
The agency's models are working today. Its 2026 news includes Agnė in the Marc Cain spring/summer 2027 campaign "Palazzo Dreaming", Paulina's project with MAXRIENY, Gabija and Agnė shooting for F Magazine, and Grita's work in Shanghai and a feature in Cosmopolitan China. This shows the agency works not only with Europe but also with Asia, which is the first market abroad for many new faces.
Supermodels has long experience of international model searches. An archive Jurgita story told how the agency was the official Lithuanian representative of the Ford Supermodel of the World contest, and how its finalist Kristina Gromovaitė took second place in the final in New York. At the time the agency ran the largest scouting tour in Lithuania, visiting more than seventy towns. Today you can apply online, and the agency charges models nothing: applying is free.
Supermodels takes girls and boys who have the measurements a model needs, want a career, can travel and are not bound by contracts with other model agencies. You can apply on the Supermodels application page, and read more about the agency in its catalogue profile.
Ruta Models

Ruta Models was founded in 2009 in Vilnius by Rūta Bartašiūtė. It started out as Olialia Models and took its current name in 2012. The agency's office is in the Skraidenis business centre at Naugarduko g. 100.
Most of the agency's models are from Lithuania, but it also represents girls from Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine and Belarus. The agency says it looks for new talent through online applications and in the past held open calls in cities across the Baltics and Ukraine. Among its partners abroad it lists Women, IMG, Select and UNO.
Ruta Models has a women's board and focuses on girls who want an international career. Archive sources mention that the agency ran the Elite Model Look contest in Lithuania together with Elite Model Management – one of the searches where scouts from the big agencies spot new faces. The agency's details and contacts are in its Ruta Models profile.
Baltic Model Management

Baltic Model Management (BMM) is a Vilnius agency that, according to its website, has been working since 1998. It works as a mother agency and partners with IMG, Wilhelmina, Women, UNO, Storm and other agencies abroad. Its office is at Savanorių pr. 6a.
The agency says its defining trait is a constant search for new faces: those who have the chance to reach the best results and the top of a modeling career. In October 2019 the men's agency First Face Model joined BMM, so today the agency has women's, men's and new faces boards.
BMM models are easy to spot at fashion weeks. In October 2026 the agency reported that Asta walked the Maison Margiela spring/summer 2027 show in Paris, Ema Ava walked for Genny in Milan, and one of its models walked for Juozas Statkevičius in Paris. Our archive story noted that Julija Steponavičiūtė, Dovilė Viršilaitė, Patricija Žilinskaitė and Vika Volkutė built careers in the fashion capitals through this agency.
The archive story also told how BMM held a search for new faces in Lithuania once or twice a year and invited scouts from well-known agencies abroad to the final selection. BMM accepts applications from age 16, or younger with parental consent. More in the Baltic Model Management profile.
Duo Management

Duo Management was founded in 2017 in Vilnius by a duo of models, Diana Balaišytė and Dovilė Viršilaitė. Both worked for a long time in the international market, so the agency is built on first-hand experience: what working with agencies abroad looks like, what a new face needs on a first trip, and how to keep a career going for more than one season.
Every year the agency runs a scouting tour around Lithuania, looking for new faces outside the big cities too. Besides its women's board, Duo Management has a kids board, so parents looking for a reliable agency for their children turn to it as well. The office is at J. Tumo-Vaižganto g. 7, Vilnius.
All the agency's details are in the Duo Management profile.
Modilinos Model Management

Modilinos is a Kaunas agency and one of the oldest in Lithuania. The company was registered in 1997, and the agency presents itself with the line "Defining beauty standards". Its office is in Kaunas, at Parodos g. 7.
Modilinos scouts models and represents them internationally, and says it works in Lithuania and Hong Kong. An archive Jurgita story described how the agency had developed many models who walked at fashion weeks in New York, Paris and other capitals; its models at the time included Simona Starkutė, Jandra Džiaugytė, Eglė Tereikaitė, Alina Andriušytė and Vaida Monciūtė. Back then the agency also ran its own events – fashion shows and the yearly charity event Angelų duona.
For Kaunas and the towns around it, Modilinos is often the first place where a young person can find out whether they have what a model needs, without travelling to Vilnius. More about the agency in the Modilinos profile.

Compared with the 2011 list, three of the same agencies are still in the top five: Supermodels, Baltic Model Management and Modilinos. They have been working for a quarter of a century or close to it and have brought up more than one generation of models. New to the list are Ruta Models, which in fifteen years has grown from a young agency into one of the most active in Vilnius, and Duo Management, founded by models who worked in the international market themselves. All other Lithuanian agencies, including the newer ones, are in the catalogue of model agencies in Lithuania with their profiles, addresses and news.
How to choose between these agencies
All the agencies above work with the international market, but that does not make them the same. They differ in size, boards, cities, partners abroad and the way they work. When choosing, think less about which agency is the most famous and more about which one fits your measurements, age and goals.
- By board. If you are a man, choose an agency with a men's board: Supermodels or Baltic Model Management. If your size is larger than a classic runway model's, Supermodels has a separate plus-size board, Asmenybės. For parents looking for an agency for a child, Duo Management has a kids board.
- By city. A first meeting is easier close to home. Most of the agencies on this list are in Vilnius, Modilinos is in Kaunas, and Supermodels also sees models in its Kaunas office. Still, the first step is almost always an online application, so your city is no obstacle.
- By partners abroad. Look at which agencies in Paris, Milan, London, New York or Asia the mother agency works with, and where its models are working now. Agency news and fashion week casts tell you more than any promise.
- By how the agency talks to you. A good agency tells you honestly which market your look has the best chances in, how long preparation may take and what is expected of you. If all you hear at the first meeting are promises of quick contracts and big money, stop and ask more.
Applying to several agencies at once is fine: it is common practice. But sign with one mother agency only. It represents the model exclusively and chooses the partners abroad itself, so several Lithuanian agencies cannot work for the same model at the same time.
What to ask at the first meeting
A first meeting with an agency is not an exam but a conversation in which both sides find out whether they want to work together. The agency will measure you, take digitals and ask about your studies, free time and whether you can travel. You have the right to ask questions too. Here are the ones worth asking:
- Which market do you see me in? The answer shows whether the agency really assessed your look: runway, commercial, catalogue, Asia or Europe.
- What happens next, and how soon? Will you need a test shoot, when does the agency plan to introduce you to partners abroad, what could a first trip look like.
- What are the contract terms? The commission, how long the contract runs, how it can be ended, who pays for travel, housing abroad and tests, and how these costs are deducted from earnings.
- How are jobs paid? How soon the model is paid, what statement they get and how they can see their balance.
- Who will look after me abroad? Who your booker is, who helps if there is a problem, and how the mother agency stays in touch with the agency abroad.
If the model is under 18, the parents come to the meeting too. They have the right to get the contract in advance, read it at home and ask questions. A professional agency never pushes you to sign on the same day.
How model agencies have changed since 2011
The first version of this story appeared in 2011, when Jurgita made a list of five Lithuanian model agencies. Since then some agencies have changed their names, others have merged, some have closed, and several new ones were set up by former models. The main changes worth knowing if you are starting a modeling career now:
- Scouting happens online. Agencies used to tour towns and hold open calls. Today most applications come through websites or social media, and open call days are rarer.
- Agencies abroad choose from digitals and video. The mother agency sends partners abroad plain, unretouched pictures and a short intro video. An expensive portfolio is not needed at the start.
- Asia has become the first market abroad for many new faces. Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong: here a model can gain experience, earn and build a first portfolio before Paris or Milan.
- Instagram has changed scouting. Agencies and scouts abroad find models on social media, but almost always work through a mother agency that knows the model and is responsible for them.
- More attention to models' safety. International agencies and fashion houses have clear rules on models' age, health and working conditions, and the mother agency makes sure they are followed.
Model boards have changed too. Agencies now represent not only classic runway models but also plus-size, mature and commercial models. So before applying, look at which boards an agency has and choose the one where your look fits best.
How to tell a professional model agency from a course or a scam
The biggest mistake at the start is confusing a model agency with a modeling school, a course or a commercial studio. They may have similar names, but they work differently. A modeling school charges you to teach posing or walking, while a professional agency only earns when the model gets work. Here are a few signs that help tell them apart.
- The agency does not ask for money to register. A fee for "a place in the catalogue", a "starter package" or a mandatory shoot with the agency's photographer means the money comes from you, not from clients.
- There is a written contract. A representation contract states the commission, the term, how it can be ended and how jobs and advanced costs are settled. Before signing, read our guide to the modeling contract.
- Real models and their work are visible. The agency shows its models, and their work can be found in fashion week shows and brand campaigns.
- Partners abroad can be checked. If an agency says it works with a well-known agency abroad, that usually shows on the model's profile on that agency's website.
- Under 18s only with parents. If the model is under 18, the contract is signed with the parents, and the young person goes to meetings and trips with a chaperone.
We cover this in more detail in our guide to choosing a modeling agency, with seven checks and the questions to ask at the first meeting.
How to apply to a model agency
All the agencies on this list accept applications online. The process is similar everywhere, so you can prepare in advance. An agency usually needs:
- 4–6 plain pictures. Face from the front, profile, half length and full length. Sharp, in daylight, with no filters or retouching, with minimal make-up or none. Hair tied back or loose, but not covering the face.
- Accurate measurements. Height, bust, waist and hips, shoe size, hair and eye colour. Measure without shoes and in thin clothes.
- Your age and city. The agency needs to know whether and when you can travel.
- Contacts. A phone number and an email, and for under 18s the parents' contacts too.
No expensive shoot is needed before the first meeting. The agency will tell you whether you need a test shoot and help arrange it. What a test costs and who pays is explained in our story on the model test shoot, and how to prepare for a selection in our guide to castings.
If you are not sure whether you are suited to modeling at all, read how to become a model: it covers the different types of models and the height and age requirements for runway, commercial and other work.
What happens after you apply
If the agency sees potential, it invites you to meet. At the first meeting the agency takes digitals, measures you and talks about your goals, studies and ability to travel. If both sides want to work together, a representation contract is signed.
Then the model's development begins: test shoots, posing and runway skills, first jobs in Lithuania. When the model is ready, the mother agency sends their pictures to partners abroad. If an agency abroad is interested, it offers a first trip, usually a few weeks or a month in one market. The mother agency helps with the paperwork, agrees the terms and stays the model's main agency for their whole career.
It is worth knowing that success does not come at once. Many models sign their first contract abroad after months or even years with their mother agency. So choose an agency you trust and want to work with for a long time, even if the first results take a while.
The first trip abroad: what to expect
The first trip is the most important stage of a new model's career. It usually lasts from a few weeks to two or three months. The agency abroad normally provides a place in a model apartment and pays for the travel, and these costs are later deducted from the model's earnings. Some Asian agencies offer a guarantee: the model knows the minimum they will earn during the contract.
In the first days the model goes to meetings with clients, photographers and casting directors, the so-called go-sees. There can be several a day, so comfortable shoes, a phone with a map and an up-to-date portfolio matter. Every job is recorded on a voucher, and the model's income and costs appear on a statement they can check at any time.
The mother agency stays in touch throughout the trip. It discusses jobs with the agency abroad, helps if there are problems with housing or conditions, and after the trip works out with the model where to go next. That is why, when choosing an agency in Lithuania, what matters is not only its name but how it looks after models when they are far from home.
After the first trip the model comes back with new pictures, tear sheets and experience. That lets the agency introduce them to other markets: Milan or Paris after Asia, bigger brands after catalogue work. Many Lithuanian models whose names appear in fashion week casts started exactly like this, with one trip arranged by their mother agency.
Frequently asked questions
Which model agencies in Lithuania work with markets abroad?
Our top five for 2026: Supermodels, Ruta Models, Baltic Model Management, Duo Management and Modilinos. All of them work as mother agencies and openly list their partners abroad and their models' work. Other Lithuanian agencies are in the catalogue.
Do I have to pay a model agency to start?
No. A professional model agency does not charge you to apply or to be represented. It earns a commission on the model's jobs, and advanced costs such as travel or tests are deducted from earnings and shown on the model's statement.
From what age can you apply to a model agency?
Many agencies look for new faces from 14–16. If the model is under 18, the contract is signed with the parents, and meetings and trips happen with a chaperone. Duo Management, for example, has a kids board.
What is the difference between a mother agency and an agency abroad?
The mother agency is the model's first agency, usually in their home country. It discovers the model, prepares them and introduces them to agencies abroad. An agency abroad represents the model in its own city, such as Paris or Milan, while the mother agency stays the main agency for the whole career.
Can you be with several model agencies in Lithuania?
Usually not. The mother agency represents the model exclusively, so other Lithuanian agencies cannot work with them. Abroad a model can have one agency in each market, but the mother agency chooses those agencies and agrees terms with them.
What pictures do I need to apply?
4–6 plain pictures in daylight are enough: face from the front, profile, half length and full length. No filters or retouching, minimal make-up. A professional portfolio is not needed for a first application.
How much does a model earn after joining an agency?
Income is irregular at the start: first jobs are often for the portfolio, and a first trip abroad often only covers its own costs. A model's earnings depend on the market, the type of work and the usage rights. The agency keeps the agreed commission, and all income and costs are shown on the model's statement.
What if an agency does not reply to my application?
Agencies get many applications and do not always reply to everyone. If you hear nothing for a few weeks, you can apply to another agency or try again in a few months with new pictures. What matters is that the pictures are sharp, natural and show you as you are.
Which of these agencies suits a beginner?
All five take new faces with no experience. Choose by your look and goals: men should look at agencies with a men's board, plus-size models at Supermodels' Asmenybės board, children at Duo Management, and people in or near Kaunas can go to Modilinos or the Supermodels office in Kaunas.
Why only five agencies?
This is Jurgita's top five: agencies that work as mother agencies and whose models' work can be seen in the international market. Lithuania has more agencies; all of them are described with profiles in our catalogue.
Can a model agency in Kaunas help you work abroad?
Yes. Modilinos is in Kaunas, and Supermodels also has an office there where it sees pre-registered models. All Kaunas agencies are on the Kaunas model agencies page.
