Athens is the centre of Greece's model market: our catalogue lists 13 agencies here out of 24 in the country, and another five work in the neighbouring municipalities of Paleo Faliro, Argyroupoli, Marousi and Nea Smyrni. It lists every agency that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad: fees charged to applicants, payment terms, schools, company details and history. Most agencies are in the centre: below the Acropolis, in Kolonaki and by Syntagma Square. The work is mostly for advertising and television, and the 38th Athens Fashion Week has been announced for 30 October to 4 November 2026.

Athens for international models
- A 90-minute ticket for all Athens public transport costs €1.20, a 24-hour ticket €4.10 and a 30-day pass €27. None of these is valid for the airport: the metro ticket there costs €9, a return €16 and the express bus €5.50.
- Metro line 3 and the express bus X95 to Syntagma Square run from the airport to the centre. If you stay in Athens for a month and fly several times, the 30-day pass that includes the airport costs €45.
- Before you travel, ask the agency to confirm in writing the cost of housing and any other costs it will deduct from your fees. As a guide, listings on the portal Spitogatos put the asking rent for student-type flats in the Municipality of Athens at €13.3 per m² a month in the second quarter of 2026.

02Which parts of Athens are the model agencies in?
We have an office address for 11 of the 13 agencies. Two each are in Makrygianni below the Acropolis, in Kolonaki and in Plaka by Syntagma Square. One each is in Ampelokipoi, Ilisia, Kerameikos and Kypseli and in the historic centre by the Central Market. Almost all can be reached by metro: the stations are Akropoli, Evangelismos, Syntagma, Ambelokipi, Megaro Moussikis, Omonia and Kerameikos.
03How many agencies are there around Athens?
Five. Manousaki Models and VN Model Management work in Paleo Faliro by the sea, New Model Agency in Argyroupoli, Bookers Model Agency in Marousi and Office Models in Nea Smyrni. Together with the 13 Athens agencies that makes 18 of the 24 Greek agencies in our catalogue. In Piraeus, Glyfada and Kifissia we found no agency with a live website and a model board.
04Do Athens agencies charge applicants?
Some do. Matharikou Models starts cooperation with a non-refundable €90 fee for the presentation file, and its commission is 30%. Happy People Models sells workshops at €300 and €500 plus VAT. The owners of Cristi Models and Future Models run paid modelling schools next to their agencies. The catalogue lists every agency that represents models and we do not vouch for them, so check on the profile whether an agency charges and how much.
05When is Athens Fashion Week?
The 38th Athens Fashion Week runs from 30 October to 4 November 2026 at the former Petalouda Mouzaki textile factory in Egaleo, as shown on the poster on the official website. The event is held twice a year, in October–November and March–April. Earlier editions ran on 6–9 November 2024, 2–7 April 2025 and 11–17 November 2025.
06How much does public transport cost in Athens?
At OASA prices checked on 11 October 2026, a 90-minute ticket costs €1.20, a 24-hour ticket €4.10, a 5-day ticket €8.20 and a 30-day pass €27. They are valid on buses, trolleybuses, the tram and the metro, but not for the airport. The metro ticket to the airport costs €9, a return €16 and the express bus ticket €5.50.
07What kind of modeling work is there most of in Athens?
Mostly advertising: TV commercials, shoots for catalogues and magazines, and internet and social media campaigns. The agencies themselves show it: four have a talent board and two a commercial board, and Base Models, Matharikou Models and Attitude Models also represent actors. Runway work is mostly during Athens Fashion Week.
08Do Athens agencies take models from Lithuania?
Yes. An EU citizen needs neither a work permit nor a residence permit; for up to three months an ID card or passport is enough. The safest way is through a mother agency, which sends Athens agencies your digitals and measurements and agrees the terms.
