Modeling work in Las Palmas
Las Palmas is the largest city in the Canary Islands, and our catalogue lists three agencies there. The oldest is Pop House. It was founded in 2006 by Lartaun Pérez, who had previously worked as a DJ at catwalk shows in Madrid and spent ten seasons backstage at the Moda Cálida catwalk. Its office is on Calle Murga in the city centre, with a second one in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
When clients started asking for locations, vehicles, catering and lighting, Pop House moved into shoot production as well. In a 2023 interview with the newspaper La Provincia, Lartaun Pérez said big brands shoot in the Canary Islands almost every week: the climate makes it possible to shoot summer campaigns and catalogues in winter, and visiting brands often bring only the photographer and art director, hiring the rest of the crew and the models locally. In his words, demand grew with Inditex's fast collection cycle and with online sales, which need large numbers of e-commerce pictures.
MasQModa Canarias was founded in Gran Canaria in 2011 by Giovanni Déniz and Josué Quevedo, and opened a Tenerife office in 2017. In Las Palmas it is based on Calle Triana. As well as representing models, MasQModa offers clients casting direction, location scouting and permit management. Salitre Models has operated since August 2022, also from an office on Calle Triana. The agency says its models work in Madrid, Barcelona, Milan and London as well as in the Canaries. All three agencies have application forms on their websites.
Gran Canaria Swim Week
Gran Canaria Swim Week is a swimwear catwalk backed by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, with roots in Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, founded in 1996. In 2026 it marked its 30th anniversary and was held in June for the first time (24–27 June) to line up with the swimwear buying season; it used to take place in October. The shows were held in the south of the island, at a beach club and the Expomeloneras fair centre, and according to FashionUnited the cast included 35 women and 14 men, models from abroad among them.

How to get started
- Take simple digitals in daylight and write down accurate measurements.
- For shoots on the islands the local agencies fit; if you are in the Canaries only for a season, tell your mother agency in advance. For fashion work, pick agencies in Madrid or Barcelona.
- Apply through each agency's official channels. A genuine agency does not charge for applying or for a casting; being asked to pay for registration or a shoot is a sign of a modeling scam.
