Where Frankfurt's agencies are
Frankfurt am Main is the largest city in Hesse, and our catalogue lists 7 of Germany's 137 agencies here. The catalogue lists every professional agency with a live website and model board whose core business is representing models. It leaves out model schools, sellers of paid Sedcards, photo shoots and courses, hostess and promotion staffing firms and databases where anyone can upload a profile. Each profile shows the company's register number and VELMA membership when they are known. All seven agencies give an address, and there is no single agency quarter:

Closest to the centre are charaktercast on Gutleutstraße, by the main station, and East West Models on Hanauer Landstraße in the Ostend. Cream Model Management and castin are on the left bank of the Main, in Sachsenhausen and Oberrad. CIA-Casting in Frankfurter Berg is a walk of about 800 metres from the S-Bahn station.
East West Models was founded in 1989 and has the longest list of boards, from women and men to curve, senior and talent. CIA-Casting was founded in 1988 by the actor Michael Kehr and Daniel Nicolai, then a photo design student. castin has been casting models for advertising since 1996, and Amaze Models, which dates from 2006, is the only agency in the city with a sport board. charaktercast represents adult actors, models and performers. Agentur Kaczmarek arranges locations and permits as well as castings, and its website cites a database of more than 5,000 models.

A city of advertising and people agencies
Frankfurt has no catwalk week: Germany's fashion week is held in Berlin. The agency list shows what kind of work dominates here. All seven agencies have a commercial board, and three of them (charaktercast, CIA-Casting and castin) describe themselves as people or casting agencies that supply people of every age and type for advertising and film shoots. Three agencies have women's and men's fashion boards: East West Models, Amaze Models and Cream Model Management.
Three more catalogue agencies work in the Rhine-Main region near Frankfurt: SMS Models in Mainz (since 1972), INSIDE management in Liederbach am Taunus and the kids agency Fashion Art Kids in Hunfelden. If you are after fashion work, the largest markets are Hamburg and Berlin.
How a Lithuanian model gets to Frankfurt
For fashion boards the usual route is through a mother agency in Lithuania, which sends your digitals and measurements. You can also apply directly: six of the seven Frankfurt agencies have an application page on their own websites. Advertising jobs often call for German, so check what kind of work the agency would put you forward for. A genuine agency does not charge for applying; being asked to pay for a Sedcard or a compulsory shoot is a sign of a modeling scam.
As an EU citizen you do not need a work permit in Germany, and if you only fly in for jobs and keep living in Lithuania you do not have to register in Germany. Tax, commission and contracts are covered in the Germany guide.
Transport and costs
The U-Bahn and trams in the city are run by VGF, and tickets follow the tariff of the Rhine-Main transport association (RMV). Frankfurt has its own city tariff, valid throughout the city except the airport. RMV prices in 2026:
- a single ticket within the city: €3.80;
- a short trip (Kurzstrecke): €2.35;
- a day ticket within the city: €7.75, valid until 5 am the next day;
- a single ticket from the city to the airport: €6.90; a day ticket including the airport: €13.50;
- the Deutschlandticket: €63 a month, valid on local and regional transport across Germany.
A day ticket costs less than two singles, so pick it on a day of castings. Single tickets are valid only for a journey you start straight away and cannot be bought in advance. In the RMVgo app a single ticket is 20% cheaper if you have loaded at least €40 onto your account. We found no reliable public data on model apartment prices in Frankfurt, so ask the agency to state in writing the cost of accommodation and anything else it will deduct as an advance.
