In short
- The catalogue has one agency in Klampenborg: 1·kid modelmanagement, a children's agency for ages 0 to 14, established in 2006.
- The site prints neither a street address nor an application form, only a phone number and an email; the company is registered at Nordre Molevej 9 with one employee.
- Recent jobs named by the agency include POMPdeLUX, Molo, Zara Kids, Mango and Dior; a second children's agency works in neighbouring Hellerup, and the main market is Copenhagen.
1·kid modelmanagement
Klampenborg is the coastal part of the municipality of Gentofte, north of Copenhagen beyond Hellerup. Of the 32 Danish agencies in our catalogue, one is here, and it works only with children. Denmark has neither a licence for model agencies nor an association of them, so the catalogue lists every business that represents models. We do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad: the company and its status in the register, the application rules, and fees where they are stated.
1·kid modelmanagement says that with it you will find Denmark's coolest, most talented, sweetest and loveliest child models, from babies to teens. The agency was established in 2006, by its own account, and is run day to day by Heidi Helmig. The company 1.KID MODELMANAGEMENT ApS, CVR 29242380, was founded in the Danish company register on 10 January 2006, so the register date matches the site; the register gives its address as Nordre Molevej 9, 2930 Klampenborg, its purpose as an agency for child models, one employee and the status NORMAL. The directory krak.dk lists it as a model agency with Heidi Helmig as director.
The agency takes children living in Denmark aged 0 to 14. On its home page it names the children's clothing brands POMPdeLUX and Molo, as well as Zara Kids, Mango and Dior, among recent jobs: catalogue and advertising campaign work, which is what children's agencies exist for. There is no application form on the site; the contact page gives the phone number +45 38 80 80 00 and the email info@1kid.dk, and that is the only way to register a child. The site prints no street address, although the Danish e-commerce act requires a commercial website to show the name, a physical address, an email and the CVR number; the address here comes from the register. The pages we read on 18 October 2026 say nothing about fees, so ask in writing before you send pictures whether anything is to be paid. The agency is not on the charter's signatory list; for a children's agency that is usual, because the charter is written for fashion models from 16.
The rules for children's work
A child under 13 may take part in a photo shoot or a commercial only with a permit from the Director of Arbejdstilsynet, the Working Environment Authority, granted case by case under section 38 of the order on young people's work, BEK nr 1713 af 18/12/2025. Since 1 January 2026 the permits come from Arbejdstilsynet, not from the police. Either the client company or the parents apply through virk.dk; the child's CPR number, address and the parents' details are needed, a child from abroad needs a passport copy, and the authority aims to answer within 3 weeks. The permit states the hours of the day within which the child may work, so that it gets enough night rest and can attend school. The starting point is 7 hours a day, fewer for younger children; the authority looks for a child minder or adult contact person, a rest room, breaks, a written plan of the day and parents involved in the planning. In its examples, three days of at most 6 hours between 10:00 and 18:00 or one day of up to 8 hours between 08:00 and 20:00 can be approved for children aged 7 to 12; for children aged 6 or under the default is a refusal.
From 13, shoots and shows count as cultural activities that need no permit as long as they put neither the child's safety nor health at risk. Children under 15 may as a rule not work between 20:00 and 06:00. Parents can be fined if a child works in breach of the order with their knowledge, and anyone can complain to Arbejdstilsynet about a child's working conditions.
A child's fee is B-income, from which no tax is withheld; from 2026 the 8% labour market contribution on B-income is due only from the year a person turns 18. Payment in clothes or gift cards is taxed at its value. More on tax, children's working hours and the papers for a family from abroad is in the guide Modeling agencies in Denmark.
Other children's agencies and the Copenhagen market
In neighbouring Hellerup, in the same municipality, Star Kids has worked since 2014, takes children aged 0 to 16 with a separate young fashion board for 13 to 16, and says a fee is paid for every job. In Copenhagen, Le Management Kids, the children's division of Northern Europe's largest agency, represents children aged 0 to 16 without binding contracts, and BASIC CPH has a separate kids site. In Albertslund, JS Total Booking registers models and extras of all ages for commercials and films and charges DKK 98 for a profile. The clients, the fashion week and all 16 agencies of the city are on the Copenhagen page.
Before you call
- Have plain pictures of the child in daylight and the child's height ready; ask the agency what it wants, since there is no form on the site.
- Check the company: CVR 29242380 opens free of charge at datacvr.virk.dk; the status NORMAL means a live registration.
- Ask in writing whether anything is to be paid for registration, photos or a profile, what is paid for a job and when the fee is transferred; every deduction should appear on the statement.
- If the child is under 13, agree who applies to Arbejdstilsynet for each job, and ask for a written plan of the day.
- If someone contacts you in the agency's name on social media, verify it on the phone number printed on the agency's site: that is a common pattern of a modeling scam.
