Commercial modeling agencies in Copenhagen
There are 16 modeling agencies in Copenhagen, 9 of them holding a state licence or a professional-association membership. Below: every agency with its boards and founding year, a comparison table, and what international models need to know. We do not vouch for agencies: each profile shows what we found about it, good and bad.
Copenhagen is the centre of the Danish model market: our catalogue lists 16 agencies here out of 32 in Denmark, and three more work in the suburbs of Hellerup, Klampenborg and Albertslund, which have their own pages. The catalogue lists every business that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad: fees, the company behind the name, press reports and history. Denmark has no licence for model agencies. The oldest name dates from 1966, nine of the 16 are on the Danish Fashion Ethical Charter's signatory list, and Copenhagen Fashion Week AW27 runs from 1 to 5 February 2027.

Copenhagen for international models
- As an EU citizen you need no work permit in Denmark: SIRI writes that an EU citizen may freely enter Denmark and begin to work upon arrival, with or without an EU residence document. For up to 3 months there is nothing to apply for; if you stay longer than 3 months, you apply through SIRI for the free EU residence document (form OD1A), which has no expiry date.
- A tax card needs a CPR number or a tax number. If you work for 3 months or less, you get a tax number instead of a CPR number. If you intend to stay 3 months or more (6 months for EU citizens), you register with the Civil Registration Office in person at a Citizen Service centre with the EU residence document, your passport and proof of a permanent Danish address; International Citizen Service centres are in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg and Sønderborg. Without a tax card an employer withholds 55% of a salary.
- Fees in Denmark are B-indkomst: tax and the 8% labour-market contribution (am-bidrag) are not deducted from them, the recipient pays them; from 2026 am-bidrag on B income is paid only from the age of 18. A business must register for VAT once taxable sales exceed DKK 50,000 within a calendar year; below that, registration is optional.
- Denmark has no artist or model withholding tax for non-residents. The Tax Agency's legal guide says limited tax liability arises only with employment by a Danish employer or a foreign employer with a permanent establishment in Denmark, or with an establishment of your own there. Our reading: a self-employed model living abroad who is paid a fee by a Danish agency or client for a few days' work owes no Danish tax on it and declares it at home. We did not read the treaty position for any country, so talk to a tax adviser and ask your home social-security institution about an A1 certificate.
- If you are not an EU citizen, you need a residence and work permit (application fee for the work schemes DKK 6,810 in 2026). The exemption for models: professional models who work in Denmark for a short period in connection with companies holding significant international fashion shows and fairs are exempt from the work permit for up to 3 working days within 180 days, together or as three separate days; a visa is still needed where your nationality requires one. For other cases SIRI issues a guiding statement in writing.
- Public payments and tax refunds go to a NemKonto; if you live abroad you can set up a non-Danish account. You can open a Danish bank account only once you have a tax card. An employer reporting a non-resident's pay must have your home-country Tax Identification Number since 2024.
- No law or association sets the commission in Denmark and no agency publishes one; read the percentage, and the amount it is calculated on, in your contract. No law bans an agency's fees to models: Casablanca Models charges DKK 500 for a test shoot, Cast Agency Denmark a DKK 385 registration fee and JS Total Booking DKK 98 for a profile; the amounts are on the profiles.
- The Danish Fashion Ethical Charter, run by Copenhagen Fashion Week, requires a model to be 16 (15 with dispensation and an adult), payment for work, and an LMS health check for every Danish model at a charter agency, paid for by the agency. International models at Copenhagen Fashion Week file a medical certificate valid for 2 years, usually paid for by the foreign agency or the model. The next fashion week, AW27, runs from 1 to 5 February 2027.

03Do Copenhagen agencies charge applicants?
None of the 16 Copenhagen agencies mentions a fee on the application pages we read on 18 October 2026. Unique Models' Q&A document says that starting and the courses for new models are free, and Elite promises that its scouts will never ask for payment to be recruited. The only published amount in the area is at JS Total Booking in Albertslund: a one-off profile fee of DKK 98 and paid photo sessions. No Danish law sets or bans an agency's fees to models; marketing and contract law apply. Clients of charter agencies pay a DKK 75 health check fee on every invoice.
04Which Copenhagen agencies have signed the Danish Fashion Ethical Charter?
On 18 October 2026 the public signatory list named these Copenhagen agencies: 2PM Management, Elite Model Management Copenhagen, Etoile Models, Gossip Model Management, Heartbreak, Le Management, Scoop Models of Copenhagen, Selten Models and Unique Models. BASIC CPH, Sonder Agency, Two Management Scandinavia, MA 11, RAD and CĀRE Models are not on it. The closed Diva Models, September Model Management and CPH Wolves are still listed, because the list carries no dates. The charter is a voluntary code run by Copenhagen Fashion Week, not a licence.
05What did Berlingske write about Scoop Models and Epstein?
On 3 February 2026 Berlingske reported that the agency's name appeared in released Jeffrey Epstein documents and that director Bente Lundquist confirmed working with Epstein's friend, the model scout Jean-Luc Brunel, saying she had no idea what other people's sexual interests were. Only the standfirst was readable; it contains no accusation against the agency or its founder. The same month Radio4 appealed to former Scoop models of the 1990s who had visited Epstein and Brunel. The agency works on, is on the charter list and prints its requirements for applicants.
06How do I tell a real Copenhagen scout from an impostor?
TV 2 Fyn wrote on 5 September 2025 that Instagram profiles posing as Le Management agents asked young women for intimate pictures; the profile "Alexander Stormgaard" does not work there. Elite and Scoop carry standing warnings about impostors on their sites. A real agency does not ask for payment to be recruited, does not ask for underwear or nude pictures and does not cast by webcam: Scoop says so in writing, and Elite publishes its office number +45 33 15 14 14 so that you can check. Use only the contacts printed on the agency's own site.
07What height do Copenhagen fashion agencies ask for?
Scoop Models takes girls of 172 to 184 cm (aged 14 to 22) and boys of 183 to 190 cm (15 to 25), Étoile Models women of 172 to 181 cm and men of 184 to 192 cm, Gossip Model Management women from 1.73 m and men from 1.83 m, and Selten Models only females aged 14 to 24 from 1.74 m. Unique Models prints no height on its site and asked for girls of at least 169 cm when it scouted in Salling stores in 2018. Elite and Le Management print no requirements. BASIC CPH and Sonder Agency say height and size do not matter to them.
08Which Copenhagen agencies take children?
Le Management Kids represents children aged 0 to 16 without binding contracts, BASIC CPH has a kids site, and in the suburbs Star Kids in Hellerup takes children aged 0 to 16 and 1·kid modelmanagement in Klampenborg children living in Denmark aged 0 to 14. Unique takes applicants from 14, Scoop from 14 (girls) and 15 (boys). A child under 13 needs a permit from Arbejdstilsynet (no longer the police since 1 January 2026), from 13 shoots are allowed without a permit, and the charter asks for 16, or 15 with dispensation.
09Is Two Management Scandinavia still operating if its company is dissolved?
The agency is active: the site, the submission form and the Instagram account are live, and the office is given as Ny Vestergade 5. But the number printed on the site, CVR 39261545, belongs to Two Management Copenhagen A/S, which the register lists as dissolved by declaration. The active entity is the foreign-company branch Two Management Europe, CVR 37725161, at Kalkbrænderiløbskaj 6. Before you sign, ask which company is your contracting party and which one will pay your fees.
10When is Copenhagen Fashion Week and can a foreign model work there?
Twice a year, in January or February and in August. SS27 ran from 3 to 7 August 2026 and AW27 is scheduled for 1 to 5 February 2027. An EU citizen needs no work permit; a non-EU model is exempt for up to three working days in 180 in connection with a significant international fashion show. Brands must file a medical certificate for every model not signed to a Danish mother agency, and Danish models must have the charter's health check. Which models walk is decided at the brands' castings; ask your agency before the season.
11Are Modelcasting.dk, A Casting and CPH Casting model agencies?
Not in the sense the catalogue uses the word: on these sites you create your own profile, nobody selects you and nobody negotiates for you. Modelcasting.dk lets you register free from 15, A Casting in Frederiksberg (CVR 46380339) and CPH Casting (part of Mami Film Service, CVR 44041820) are casting databases for productions, Go-Talent charges a membership fee, Onlinecasting.dk and Selfcast are open casting platforms, and Børnecasting.dk sells paid children's casting events. They work for extras jobs; they do not replace representation by an agency.
