Ebeltoft for international models
- As an EU citizen you need no work permit in Denmark: SIRI writes that an EU citizen may freely enter Denmark and begin to work upon arrival, with or without an EU residence document. For up to 3 months there is nothing to apply for; if you stay longer than 3 months, you apply through SIRI for the free EU residence document (form OD1A), which has no expiry date.
- A tax card needs a CPR number or a tax number. If you work for 3 months or less, you get a tax number instead of a CPR number. If you intend to stay 3 months or more (6 months for EU citizens), you register with the Civil Registration Office in person at a Citizen Service centre with the EU residence document, your passport and proof of a permanent Danish address; International Citizen Service centres are in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg and Sønderborg. Without a tax card an employer withholds 55% of a salary.
- Fees in Denmark are B-indkomst: tax and the 8% labour-market contribution (am-bidrag) are not deducted from them, the recipient pays them; from 2026 am-bidrag on B income is paid only from the age of 18. A business must register for VAT once taxable sales exceed DKK 50,000 within a calendar year; below that, registration is optional.
- Denmark has no artist or model withholding tax for non-residents. The Tax Agency's legal guide says limited tax liability arises only with employment by a Danish employer or a foreign employer with a permanent establishment in Denmark, or with an establishment of your own there. Our reading: a self-employed model living abroad who is paid a fee by a Danish agency or client for a few days' work owes no Danish tax on it and declares it at home. We did not read the treaty position for any country, so talk to a tax adviser and ask your home social-security institution about an A1 certificate.
- If you are not an EU citizen, you need a residence and work permit (application fee for the work schemes DKK 6,810 in 2026). The exemption for models: professional models who work in Denmark for a short period in connection with companies holding significant international fashion shows and fairs are exempt from the work permit for up to 3 working days within 180 days, together or as three separate days; a visa is still needed where your nationality requires one. For other cases SIRI issues a guiding statement in writing.
- Public payments and tax refunds go to a NemKonto; if you live abroad you can set up a non-Danish account. You can open a Danish bank account only once you have a tax card. An employer reporting a non-resident's pay must have your home-country Tax Identification Number since 2024.
- No law or association sets the commission in Denmark and no agency publishes one; read the percentage, and the amount it is calculated on, in your contract. No law bans an agency's fees to models: Casablanca Models charges DKK 500 for a test shoot, Cast Agency Denmark a DKK 385 registration fee and JS Total Booking DKK 98 for a profile; the amounts are on the profiles.
- The Danish Fashion Ethical Charter, run by Copenhagen Fashion Week, requires a model to be 16 (15 with dispensation and an adult), payment for work, and an LMS health check for every Danish model at a charter agency, paid for by the agency. International models at Copenhagen Fashion Week file a medical certificate valid for 2 years, usually paid for by the foreign agency or the model. The next fashion week, AW27, runs from 1 to 5 February 2027.

How this list is made
The list includes every agency that represents models. We check the facts on each agency's own website, in public company registers, on association member lists and in the press, and publish what we find: fees charged to applicants, schools, company status, press reports, history and memberships. We do not vouch for or recommend agencies. No agency pays to be listed and there are no rankings. Last checked: 2026-10-10.
01How many modeling agencies are there in Ebeltoft?
This catalogue lists 1 agency in Ebeltoft, including Casablanca Models. It includes every agency that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows the facts we found, good and bad.
02How much does registration at Casablanca Models cost?
The agency's FAQ for kid applicants says a fee of DKK 500 is paid for the test shoot at the agency; if the child is accepted, this sum counts as the registration fee, and the agency offers to deduct it from the first job payment. A rejected child receives 4 to 6 photos. The "Model for a day" service (a styled shoot with make-up, all raw files and 8 retouched photos) costs DKK 1,950 and is open to anyone aged 12 to 70. Danish law neither bans nor expressly allows such a fee; the Marketing Practices Act requires special care where the buyers are children and young people.
03What do the reviews of Casablanca Models say?
On Trustpilot the agency has 2.7 out of 5 (24 reviews, profile claimed in June 2016, no new reviews in the last 12 months). In a 1-star review of 30 August 2019 a 20-year-old wrote that she paid DKK 500 for a test shoot of under 5 minutes and felt unwelcome; the owner replied that it was a test shoot, not a casting, and that the applicant was 164 cm, below the agency's minimum. Reviews of 11 June 2022 criticised "Model for en dag"; the agency replied and asked for the participant's name. On Facebook, according to a search result, the agency has 4.2 out of 5 (92 reviews).
04Does Casablanca Models work in Aarhus?
The site prints only the Ebeltoft address, Kølbakken 15, Basballe, so the catalogue lists the agency under Ebeltoft. But the FAQ says test shoots take place at the agency in Aarhus and Copenhagen, that 80 percent of jobs are in those two cities and that it mainly takes children living within 1.5 hours of them; Trustpilot and the directory Yoys give Jægergårdsgade 76 in Aarhus. Before you travel, ask where the shoot will be.
05What are the requirements at Casablanca Models for adults?
On the minimum requirements page: teen girls aged 13 to 15, 167-175 cm; teen boys aged 14 to 18, 167-176 cm; women aged 16 to 55, 170-180 cm, size 36-38; men aged 22 to 55, 180-190 cm, size 50-52; seniors aged 56 to 65; plus-size women aged 18 to 25, 170-178 cm, size 42-48. There are no height limits for children, and the agency says all its kids have a work permit.
06Does a child need a permit to model?
Under 13, yes: a permit from the Director of the Working Environment Authority (Arbejdstilsynet), issued case by case under order no. 1713 of 18 December 2025, and since 1 January 2026 issued by the authority rather than the police; for a child of 6 or under the default is a refusal. From 13, shoots are allowed without a permit if they pose no danger to safety or health. Casablanca Models says all its kids have a work permit; ask who handles it.
