Odense, the main city of the island of Funen and Denmark's third-largest city, has two agencies in our catalogue out of 32 in Denmark. CC Models is a local model and casting agency working since the summer of 2004, with boards for kids, adults, classic models and actors. Ewa Talents Management is a Milan mother agency that has also worked from Odense since 2023, with a small board of six women and eight men. Odense for international models
- As an EU citizen you need no work permit in Denmark: SIRI writes that an EU citizen may freely enter Denmark and begin to work upon arrival, with or without an EU residence document. For up to 3 months there is nothing to apply for; if you stay longer than 3 months, you apply through SIRI for the free EU residence document (form OD1A), which has no expiry date.
- A tax card needs a CPR number or a tax number. If you work for 3 months or less, you get a tax number instead of a CPR number. If you intend to stay 3 months or more (6 months for EU citizens), you register with the Civil Registration Office in person at a Citizen Service centre with the EU residence document, your passport and proof of a permanent Danish address; International Citizen Service centres are in Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg and Sønderborg. Without a tax card an employer withholds 55% of a salary.
- Fees in Denmark are B-indkomst: tax and the 8% labour-market contribution (am-bidrag) are not deducted from them, the recipient pays them; from 2026 am-bidrag on B income is paid only from the age of 18. A business must register for VAT once taxable sales exceed DKK 50,000 within a calendar year; below that, registration is optional.
- Denmark has no artist or model withholding tax for non-residents. The Tax Agency's legal guide says limited tax liability arises only with employment by a Danish employer or a foreign employer with a permanent establishment in Denmark, or with an establishment of your own there. Our reading: a self-employed model living abroad who is paid a fee by a Danish agency or client for a few days' work owes no Danish tax on it and declares it at home. We did not read the treaty position for any country, so talk to a tax adviser and ask your home social-security institution about an A1 certificate.
- If you are not an EU citizen, you need a residence and work permit (application fee for the work schemes DKK 6,810 in 2026). The exemption for models: professional models who work in Denmark for a short period in connection with companies holding significant international fashion shows and fairs are exempt from the work permit for up to 3 working days within 180 days, together or as three separate days; a visa is still needed where your nationality requires one. For other cases SIRI issues a guiding statement in writing.
- Public payments and tax refunds go to a NemKonto; if you live abroad you can set up a non-Danish account. You can open a Danish bank account only once you have a tax card. An employer reporting a non-resident's pay must have your home-country Tax Identification Number since 2024.
- No law or association sets the commission in Denmark and no agency publishes one; read the percentage, and the amount it is calculated on, in your contract. No law bans an agency's fees to models: Casablanca Models charges DKK 500 for a test shoot, Cast Agency Denmark a DKK 385 registration fee and JS Total Booking DKK 98 for a profile; the amounts are on the profiles.
- The Danish Fashion Ethical Charter, run by Copenhagen Fashion Week, requires a model to be 16 (15 with dispensation and an adult), payment for work, and an LMS health check for every Danish model at a charter agency, paid for by the agency. International models at Copenhagen Fashion Week file a medical certificate valid for 2 years, usually paid for by the foreign agency or the model. The next fashion week, AW27, runs from 1 to 5 February 2027.

03Do Odense agencies charge applicants?
CC Models says on its contact page that it never demands payment, never casts over Skype or social media and never asks for photos without clothes or in underwear. The site of Ewa Talents Management mentions no fee; applications go through the contact form or by e-mail. Neither publishes a commission rate, like the other Danish agencies whose sites we opened; ask for it in writing. Danish law neither sets nor bans an agency's fees to models.
04What is a mother agency, and why does Ewa Talents Management call itself one?
A mother agency finds and develops new faces and then places them with agencies in bigger markets, sharing the commission. Ewa Talents Management writes that it was founded in Milan in 2017 by Ewa Ades, a former architecture student and model who tried scouting and found her purpose there; since 2023 the agency also works from Odense. 05What are the requirements at CC Models?
The agency gives no height or age figures. Its contact page says charisma matters more than age, height and weight, and applications go by e-mail with two photos. The boards cover girls and boys, women and men, classic models, actors, Street Cast and Relations. Children under 13 need a permit from the Working Environment Authority for a photo shoot.
06Have there been fake scout cases around Odense?
The Funen broadcaster TV 2 Fyn reported on 5 September 2025 (a Ritzau item citing the fact-checker Tjekdet) that Instagram profiles posing as Le Management agents asked young women for their age, measurements and intimate pictures; a profile named Alexander Stormgaard claimed to be a scout for the agency and no such person works there. The Odense agencies themselves are not named. CC Models says it never casts over social media, so an offer in its name from a personal account is fake.
