In short
- The catalogue has one agency in De Hoef: La La Agency, a kids agency (Ruigekade 20B, KVK 34270122).
- There is no registration fee; EUR 25 a year for a place on the website is charged only in a year when the child got a job and is deducted from the payout.
- Most jobs pay EUR 175 to EUR 350 for a block of up to 4 hours, plus EUR 0.23 per kilometre and parking costs.
- No contract is signed, but the agency asks for at least 6 months of exclusivity in the Netherlands and applies a 3-month notice period.
La La Agency
De Hoef is a village in the province of Utrecht, south of Amsterdam. One of the 100 Dutch agencies in our catalogue is here. The country has no licence for model agencies, so the catalogue includes every business that represents models and the profiles say what we found.
La La Agency calls itself an exclusive kids agency based in the Netherlands; in the catalogue it has a kids board. The agency's FAQ (version of 8 November 2024) is unusually open. It says there is no registration fee, but that placing a child on the website costs EUR 25 a year. The fee is charged only in a year in which the child got a job and is deducted from the payout, so nothing is paid up front.
The same page says most jobs pay between EUR 175 and EUR 350 for a block of up to 4 hours, plus EUR 0.23 per kilometre and parking costs. The agency invoices the client and pays the model once the client has paid. No contract is signed, but the agency asks for at least 6 months of exclusivity in the Netherlands and applies a 3-month notice period. In other words, exclusivity here rests on trust and not on a signature.
Where the agency is
The contact page of the agency's site gives neither an address nor a town: it says only that it is based in the Netherlands. Its Facebook page names Vinkeveen, its Instagram account presents it as a kids and teens model agency in Amsterdam, and we found the address Ruigekade 20B in De Hoef in its privacy statement. The catalogue follows that address. For parents this comes down to one thing: before a first shoot, ask where the meeting will be and under what name the business sends its invoices. KVK number 34270122 can be checked free of charge in the Chamber of Commerce search.
How much a child may work
The 4-hour block the agency mentions does not always fit within the legal limits, so you need to know them by age:
| Age | School day | Free day | Days per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Under 7 | up to 2 hours | up to 4 hours | up to 6 |
| 7 to 12 | up to 4 hours | up to 7 hours | up to 24 |
Waiting, breaks and rehearsals count towards these hours. A child under 13 needs an exemption from the Labour Authority to work; it is requested by whoever has authority over the child during the work (the client, the producer or a parent), not by the agency. Parents answer for the rules as well, so ask whether the exemption has been granted before you set off for the shoot.
