Ro Models and More
Odoorn is a village in the province of Drenthe, in the north-east of the Netherlands. Of the 100 agencies in the country in our catalogue one is here, and the province has two. The catalogue lists every business that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad.
Ro Models and More is a business built by one person, and its story is simple. On the agency's site owner Rowan Tromp from Emmen writes that she has worked as a model and hostess for more than ten years and has been freelance since 2019. Clients began asking whether she could bring a few more models along, and the agency grew out of those requests. It now calls itself a full-service model agency and has three boards in the catalogue: women, men and commercial. The address is Dambeern 29.
What a small agency means
The advantage of an agency like this is clear: the person putting you forward to a client has stood in front of the camera and on a trade fair stand herself, so she knows what the client will expect of you. The clients are the ones the owner has worked for, so the work is most likely regional and commercial.
The limits are clear too. The words "and More" in the name and the owner's experience as a hostess suggest that part of the bookings are event work, not photo shoots. If your aim is fashion photography or the catwalk, ask directly how many such bookings the agency has had in the past year.
The catalogue records no founding year and no KVK number, and we found no fees for applicants among its facts. A model agency needs no permit in the Netherlands, so the only official trace is the entry in the Chamber of Commerce register. Ask for the number and check it yourself: searching the register is free.
Other markets
- Emmen has IBE Models, a record we found only on Instagram.
- Groningen has KKH Management, a fashion agency with women's and men's boards.
- Amsterdam has 50 agencies; both the fashion and the advertising market are concentrated there.
How to get started
- Say what work you want to do: photo shoots, events or both. That decides whom you are offered to.
- Ask whether an event day is paid by the hour or as an agreed sum, and who pays for travel.
- Ask for a written contract with the company name and KVK number.
- Settle the commission: no law or association sets its rate in the Netherlands, so it is a matter of agreement.
- The wider picture is in the guide Modeling agencies in the Netherlands.
