Still, a KVK number proves only that a company exists; it says nothing about contract terms. We found no fees for applicants, courses or press reports among this agency's facts, good or bad.

An agency that photographs people "from babies to grandparents" works a great deal with families, so parents should know the Dutch rules. A child under 13 may work only when the Labour Authority grants an exemption for cultural work; among its examples it names fashion shows and video recordings. The exemption is requested by whoever is responsible for the child during the work: the employer, a parent or the producer. The party running the casting does not, so before a shoot ask whether the permission has been obtained and in whose name.
Commercial work has no strict height requirements, but competition is strong: for the same role in an advert an agency often puts forward several people and the client chooses. It is realistic to expect occasional bookings, not a steady wage.
