Hebbes Casting
Hilversum is a town in the Gooi area of North Holland, south-east of Amsterdam, and the home of the country's broadcasters. One of the 100 Dutch agencies in our catalogue is here, and its history is tied directly to television. Because the country has no licence for model agencies, the catalogue lists every business that represents models, and the profiles say what we found.
Hebbes Casting calls itself the casting and model agency for commercials and advertising photography. Its site says it has officially existed since 1 June 1987 and grew out of the TV show Veronica's Countdown, which ran from 1984 to 1987. Wouter Kirchjunger has run the agency since its founding. The office is in the Wisseloord Studio's in Hilversum (Catharina van Renneslaan 8-10), the company is Hebbes B.V., and the KVK number is 32042697. In the catalogue the agency has commercial and talent boards. Among the catalogue agencies with a known founding year it is one of the oldest in the country.
What registration costs and what else is sold
The registration page states that registering with photos for casting jobs costs a EUR 14.99 administration fee, paid through iDEAL. Registering as audience for TV shows is free. Besides mediation the agency sells paid services to the people on its books: the site advertises a professional photo shoot day on 14 November 2026 with make-up and 25 photos, as well as Hebbes Academy courses.
You will meet this business model more than once among Dutch casting agencies. For comparison, this is what other casting agencies in our catalogue ask for registration:
| Agency | Town | Cost for the applicant |
|---|---|---|
| Hebbes Casting | Hilversum | EUR 14.99 administration fee; paid shoots and courses |
| kleyn & groot Casting | Haarlem | EUR 25 for registration and studio photos |
| ID Casting | Utrecht | EUR 75, settled against the first assignment; paid trainings |
| Typies Casting | Ouderkerk aan de Amstel | Registration is free, but professional photos are required |
The Waadi act bans asking a job seeker for anything in return for job placement, but it is written for employment, and no official text says how it applies to self-employed models or to casting files. So decide for yourself, knowing the amounts. EUR 14.99 is a small risk. The photo shoot day and the courses cost more, and they are not a condition for getting a booking: ask the price in advance and consider whether you could have the same photos made for less elsewhere.
How a casting file differs from representation
A casting agency keeps a large file of people from which a client picks a type for a particular commercial. It does not plan your career. A fashion agency works differently: it takes few people, presents them to clients itself and often asks for exclusivity. If you want the second kind, most such agencies are in Amsterdam.
