In short
- The catalogue has two agencies in Heerlen: Models Included and Models Rock Agency.
- Models Included sells beginners a catwalk course for 179 euro; registration is free for models with a professional portfolio.
- Models Rock Agency was founded in 2011 and has women's and men's boards; in 2018 one of its models was chosen for the Victoria's Secret show.
- The country's main market is Amsterdam, with 50 of the 100 catalogue agencies.
Models Included
Heerlen is a city in the province of Limburg, in the south of the Netherlands. Of the 100 Dutch agencies in our catalogue two are here, and five are in Limburg as a whole. The catalogue lists every business that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad.
Models Included says on its site that it was founded by Amanda Brandts together with her models. The office is at Burgemeester de Hesselleplein 31, the site prints KVK number 65464656, and in the catalogue the agency has women's, men's and commercial boards. Next to its model file it sells training. The catwalk course for beginners costs 179 euro, which covers a briefing, lunch, a make-up workshop and a photo shoot. For models who already have a varied professional portfolio registration is free.
On the review site Vergelijk Modellenbureaus the agency has 13 reviews with an average of 3.3 out of 5. The most recent ones, from 2024 and 2 December 2025, speak well of the paid workshop for beginners. One more thing to know: the agency runs dozens of pages named after other cities, such as "Modellenbureau Eindhoven", so in search results it seems to be everywhere. It has one office, in Heerlen.
Models Rock Agency
Models Rock Agency is at Willemstraat 66 and its KVK number is 52393615. The site says the agency was founded in 2011 by Natascha Scheffers, a former model and music artist; her Blogger profile gives 2010, so the catalogue keeps the year the agency itself states. It has two boards, women and men.
We found one press report about this agency, and it is a favourable one. The Limburg broadcaster L1 Nieuws wrote on 11 September 2018 that Myrthe Bolt from Groningen, signed with Models Rock Agency, had been chosen for the Victoria's Secret show. The owner said then that the model's career had started at their office in Heerlen.
How they differ
Models Included is a commercial agency with a training business: what it offers a beginner first is a course, at a price known in advance. Models Rock Agency is a smaller fashion agency with two boards and one striking career example in the press. If you already have professional photos, registering with the first costs nothing; if you do not, ask both whether you can start with simple digitals. The Dutch police write that a reliable agency advances the cost of the first photo session and deducts it from later earnings.
Both agencies publish a street address and a KVK number, which is more than we find in many small-town records. Do not read too much into it, though. The Netherlands has neither a permit nor a register for model agencies: the permit for private job placement ended on 1 September 2003, and a KVK number shows only that a business is registered. How an agency works is something you learn from the contract and from its answers to direct questions about money.
The work of the Heerlen agencies does not stop at the city limits. Models Included runs its training in several towns across the country, and the Models Rock Agency example shows that a model can go from a Limburg office to an international catwalk. Most fashion clients and castings are in Amsterdam all the same, so in fashion you will not avoid trips to the west of the country.
Other markets
- Amsterdam has 50 of the 100 catalogue agencies and is the country's main fashion market.
- Maastricht has Galucci, an agency working since 1989.
- Roermond and Weert have one agency each: Inside Out Models and Division Models.
How to get started
- Decide what you are looking for: advertising and catalogue work, or fashion. That tells you which of the two agencies to write to first.
- Before paying 179 euro for the course, ask whether it is required to get into the file and what happens after it.
- In the contract look for the commission rate and the length of the exclusivity: no law or association sets the commission in the Netherlands.
- If someone writes to you in an agency's name from a personal account, check the contact; the signs are listed on the page about a modeling scam.
- Permits, tax, visas and the rules for minors are covered in the guide Modeling agencies in the Netherlands.
