Galucci
Maastricht is the capital of the province of Limburg, in the far south of the Netherlands. Our catalogue has one agency in the city out of 100 in the country. The catalogue lists every business that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad.
Galucci calls itself an international model and casting agency. Its founder writes on the site that she set up the agency in Maastricht in 1989 and at first mediated only fashion models. Over more than three decades the profile widened: today the agency represents models "from 0 to 100 years" and has a separate influencer section. The office is at Wilhelminasingel 127. In the catalogue the agency sits on six boards: women, men, kids, senior, commercial and talent.
The portfolio shoot and the reviews
The main thing to know in advance is the money for the first pictures. The agency's site describes a voluntary portfolio shoot at its office. If the shoot goes well, the future model is charged "material costs" for the team. The amount is not published, and later update shoots are free. Since the shoot is voluntary, you can ask whether the agency would accept your own photos instead.
For comparison, the Dutch police write that a reliable agency advances the cost of the first photo session and deducts it from later pay. That is practical advice, not a legal rule, and the fee bans in the country's intermediaries act are written for employment; no official text explains how they apply to self-employed models.
On the review site Vergelijk Modellenbureaus Galucci has 18 reviews with an average of 3.4 out of 5. The author of a review dated 5 December 2025 accused the agency of caring only about money. The reviews of 22 August 2024 and 16 April 2026 are positive. We do not treat one person's accusation as proven, but we show it, as we show the favourable entries.
Children and older models
Galucci is one of the few agencies in the south of the country with both a kids and a senior board. One Dutch rule is useful for parents. Children under 13 may not work unless the Labour Authority grants an exemption for cultural work; among its examples it names fashion shows and audio and video recordings. The exemption is requested by whoever has authority over the child during the work, so the employer, a parent or the producer. The party running the casting does not do it, so before the first booking ask the agency who will take care of the paperwork.
Other markets
- Heerlen has two agencies: Models Included and Models Rock Agency.
- Roermond has Inside Out Models, a commercial model and casting agency.
- Amsterdam has 50 of the 100 catalogue agencies; for fashion work it is the main city.
How to get started
- Before agreeing to a shoot at the office, ask for the amount of the "material costs" in writing and what the price includes.
- Send simple digitals and accurate measurements; they are enough for the agency to say whether you suit it.
- If you are registering a child, note that children under 13 may work only with an exemption from the Labour Authority.
- In the contract read the commission rate, the length of the exclusivity and how the contract ends.
- The rules for the whole country are set out in the guide Modeling agencies in the Netherlands.
