- Its conditions for clients set a 20% agency fee on top of the model's fee and forbid using an image for AI purposes without written consent.
- Only people over 18 can apply.
Euromodel
Lijnden is a village in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer in North Holland, next to Amsterdam. One of the 100 Dutch agencies in our catalogue is here. Although the agency presents itself as Euromodel Amsterdam, the office printed on its site is in Lijnden, at Melbournestraat 3F, so the catalogue lists it under this place. Dutch model agencies work without a licence, which is why the catalogue takes in all businesses that represent models and notes on each profile what we found.
The site of Euromodel says the agency was founded in 1967 and is one of the oldest in the Netherlands or even Europe, and that it has built up a strong international network over the years. The year rests on the agency's own claim alone; if it is accurate, this is the oldest agency in our Dutch catalogue. On the same page the agency says it was one of the first with an eye for curvy models. In the catalogue it has women's, men's and curve boards. The application page says only people over 18 can apply, so this agency is not for teenagers.
Conditions for clients: 20% and artificial intelligence
The agency's conditions for clients are public, and a model should read them, because they show how the agency protects your interests. They set an agency fee of 20%, which the client pays on top of the model's fee. A few other catalogue agencies publish the same figure: The Force Models in Rotterdam, and Kidz Management and 92 Model Management in Diemen. It is a charge to the client; how much the agency keeps from your fee has to be shown in the representation agreement, because no law or association sets the commission in the Netherlands.
The second condition is less common. Euromodel forbids using a model's image for AI purposes without the written consent of the agency and the model and without a separate buy-out fee. In other words, a client who has bought a shoot may not use those photos, for example, to train an image generator unless that has been agreed separately. If you work with other agencies too, ask whether their terms have a similar clause; it belongs to the same area as usage rights and the buyout.
Three agencies in Haarlemmermeer
The municipality of Haarlemmermeer, which also contains Schiphol airport, has three agencies in the catalogue, and two of them carry Amsterdam's name.
| Agency | Place | Boards | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Euromodel | Lijnden | Women, men, curve | 18 and over only; 20% fee charged to the client |
| KNOWN Model Management | Badhoevedorp | Women, men, new faces, curve, senior | Independent, registered in 2015 |
| Elite Amsterdam | Hoofddorp | Women, new faces | Office of an international network; scouts ask for no payment |
Before you apply
- Check your age: Euromodel takes people from 18 only.
- Send plain digitals and accurate measurements; they matter as much for the curve board as for the main one.
- Ask for the representation agreement and compare it with the public conditions for clients: see whether your contract mentions artificial intelligence as well.
- The national rules on tax and paperwork are in the guide Modeling agencies in the Netherlands.
