IBE Models
Emmen is the largest town in the province of Drenthe, in the north-east of the Netherlands. Our catalogue has one of the country's 100 records here. The catalogue lists every business that represents models; we do not vouch for them, and each profile shows what we found, good and bad.
We have less data on IBE Models than on any other agency in the Dutch catalogue, and we say so plainly. The agency exists only as an Instagram account with about 6,900 followers, which mentions Emmen and Groningen. We found no website. It is the only record in the country with no board assigned, because without a site we could not see whom the agency represents. A street address and a company name ending in B.V. appear only in third-party directories, so we left them out of the record.
Whether it is still working
We have no answer. Instagram cannot be read without logging in, and a copy of the account on another site showed the newest posts as six years old. The copy may be out of date, but we found nothing else pointing to current activity: no press reports, no casting notices, no models credited on jobs.
Why is the record in the catalogue, then? Because the catalogue shows every business that presents itself as representing models, and it is more honest to show a weak record with an explanation than to stay silent about a name you would find in a search anyway. If someone writes to you in this agency's name, be careful. Ask for the company name and the KVK number: in the Netherlands a business must show it on letters and invoices, and searching the register is free.
A 2020 evaluation commissioned by the Ministry of Health put it briefly: in this country anyone can call themselves a scout or start a model agency. A social media account with a few thousand followers therefore proves nothing, good or bad.

How to get started
- Before writing, look at the account yourself: when the newest post was published and whether real clients are named.
- Send no identity documents and pay nothing until you have a company name, a KVK number and a written contract.
- Remember the police warning: real agencies never try out models through a webcam.
- At the same time write to at least one agency that has a website and a model board; simple digitals are enough for it.
